Why should i be baptized?

​​Christian water baptism is an ordinance instituted by Jesus Christ and it is important in the plan of God. We must remember two points about the importance of water baptism. 1. Whatever Christ definitely established and ordained cannot be unimportant, whether we understand its significance or not. 2. Christ and the apostles showed the importance of this ordinance by observing it. Jesus walked many miles to be baptized, though He was without sin.

"…and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ." 1 Peter 3:21
